Clinics and Services

Ante-Natal Clinics

This clinic is run by the Midwives on a Wednesday afternoon between 1:30pm to 3pm.

Asthma, COPD, Family Planning

We want to give our patients more flexibility with a greater choice of appointment times by providing special appointments during normal surgery hours therefore we do not normally run special clinics for Asthma, COPD, Family Planning. 

Baby Clinics

These are run by the Health Care Assistant on Monday by appointment between 2pm to 4pm for Developmental Checks. Immunisations are run by the Practice Nurse on a Monday morning and are by appointment.

Cervical Screening: Smear Tests

Women aged between 24 and 64 should have a cervical screening every 3 to 5 years to help prevent cervical cancer. The screening is quick and painless and can be done here in the practice.

If you are aged over 24 and have never had a smear test, or if it has been more than 3 to 5 years since your last screening, you should arrange an appointment with our Practice Nurse. You should not have the test while you are having a period or in the 4 days before or after your period as this can affect the sample.

Diabetic Clinic

Advice on optimum diabetic control to help prevent complications by providing regular check-up’s and educating patients on self-management. When attending for a diabetes check, patients are requested to bring all current medicines and records of finger prick and/or urine testing with them.

Sexual Health Clinic

Sexual health clinics offer a range of services to support a range of sexual health needs. The clinics will offer support, testing and treatment and may refer onward if needed.

Social Prescribing

Support for Individuals (Single Point of Access/ Social Prescribing) Flintshire Local Voluntary Council.

What is social prescribing?

They could help if you:

  • Feel socially isolated (don’t have anyone to talk to)
  • Want to improve your physical or mental health
  • Lack confidence
  • Need to find some practical support and information to improve your situation, and/or how you feel

They’ll work with you to find activities and community services that match your interests and needs.
